I know this shouldn't bother me like it does, but it bothers me...
Yesterday, Palm Sunday, at church we sat where we usually do, near the front, with snacks and sippy cup in hand. Katelyn was her usually self, snacking, reading the hymnal, and sometimes trying to escape.. only once did she have a verbal outburst..
During the "peace" the gentleman behind us told Ben that there were cry rooms in the back so that our children didn't bother the rest of the people..
Ben bit his tongue and didn't say anything.. after communion I whispered to Ben that I missed the sign in the back that said Families must sit in the cry room....
I guess it bothers me because we have always sat where ever we wanted in the church, often up front since Ben lectors often. Katelyn does very well in church most of the time, and when she doesn't, I take her out of the church.
We are trying to teach our children how to behave in church. I feel that if we sit in the cry room, Katelyn will only play in church and not learn how to behave during the church service..
Maybe I am wrong, but children make outbursts in church no matter where they are sitting and I have every right to sit where I want to...
