I am Great Aunt....

Ok, so I am truly a great Aunt, and have been one since my niece was born 19 years ago.. I have enjoyed being an aunt.. Sunday I became a Great Aunt... "ouch" am I really that OLD.. I have 2 children under 2, I don't feel that old... but I guess I am..

Especially since my niece is my twin sister's daughter.... I guess I am glad that I am only a Great Aunt and not a grandma..

I have decided that little miss Baylee with be a "cousin" to my children since it will be too confusing while they are little..

In the news with my kiddo's-- Katelyn is crazy as ever, she is putting things in anything that opens.. the toilet, tv cabinets, heat vents, garbage cans, and laundry hampers.. and of course I am sure I am missing something.. We had to move all the knives and other sharp items out of the kitchen  drawers because she is reaching in blindly and pulling out items.. she has a multitude of new words.. her favorite being UH-OH

Noah is rolling around the room in search of anything he can get his hands on.. his skin is getting better.. he is also quite the babbler and tries to sit up..

Happy Easter...

Happy Easter everyone..

Took the kids to the docs this week again because Noah is still coughing and Katelyn had a fever on Wednesday night only.. Turns out she has a double ear infection and he has an ear infection and he is still wheezing and coughing from the time I took him to Urgent Care almost a month ago for wheezing.. The pediatrician was a little mad at the docs for ignoring the wheeze.. I thought he was getting better because I couldn't hear him breath from across the room anymore..

Anyway the kids are on the mend.. and Noah is back to his happy self..

I made hard boiled eggs and Jiggler eggs for the festivities today, so it will be interesting to see how Katelyn is.. she enjoyed her egg hunt with Ben's dad's family yesterday..

As you can see the kids are getting big.. and having some fun..

Happy Easter All

We are THAT family

I know this shouldn't bother me like it does, but it bothers me...

Yesterday, Palm Sunday, at church we sat where we usually do, near the front, with snacks and sippy cup in hand. Katelyn was her usually self, snacking, reading the hymnal, and sometimes trying to escape.. only once did she have a verbal outburst..

During the "peace" the gentleman behind us told Ben that there were cry rooms in the back so that our children didn't bother the rest of the people..

Ben bit his tongue and didn't say anything.. after communion I whispered to Ben that I missed the sign in the back that said Families must sit in the cry room....

I guess it bothers me because we have always sat where ever we wanted in the church, often up front since Ben lectors often. Katelyn does very well in church most of the time, and when she doesn't, I take her out of the church.

We are trying to teach our children how to behave in church. I feel that if we sit in the cry room, Katelyn will only play in church and not learn how to behave during the church service..

Maybe I am wrong, but children make outbursts in church no matter where they are sitting and I have every right to sit where I want to...
